About Me

My name is Michael. Most of my close friends call me Mike. I’m known as Anthony to my family, that’s my middle name and my Dad is also called Mike. My wife and some friends call me Miguel. College and elementary school buddies call me Q. I answer to all of those names. I also wear many hats: Realtor, husband, son, friend, personal trainer, soccer player, weight lifter, cyclist, personal chef, animal lover, traveler…

Born and raised in Austin. I learned to swing at Bluebonnet Day Care which used to be across the street from Zilker Elementary (in South Lund near Sun Terrace, Barton Hills, Barton Heights, Barton Terrace and Barton View). I learned to swim at Deep Eddy Pool during hot summer days after visiting the Nature Center. I first played pop warner football in fourth grade with the Manchaca Raiders down South. A couple years later, in sixth grade, we had an undefeated season with the Oak Hill Rams. My first time on water skis was at Lake Travis and I can remember when homes in area 11 were twenty-five grand.

Austin Real Estate

I was in the first graduating class at McNeil HS in Round Rock and my fondest memory was winning our first football game on a last second field goal against McCallum back in 1993. I began my Real Estate career in ’03, but my passion for Urban Analysis began in the Geography Department at UT while studying under Professor C.S. Davies (where I earned my degree). Believe it or not, I began my college career on scholarship at Texas A&M in the Dept. of Engineering. I came back to Austin ASAP (talk about culture shock).

I love SXSW free shows(my first wristband was only twenty-five bucks), ACL, the Deadliest Catch, Boston Legal, Hell’s Kitchen, tapas, stinky cheese, Texas Football (Hook ‘em Horns!!), Uchi, mountain biking, working on cars, traveling, ceramics, KGSR, KLRU, and the cliffs at Paleface (Lake Travis). Oh and I really miss Aquafest…and skipper pins.

I’m also a highly ethical Realtor. I am committed to improving my client’s balance sheets, bottom lines, and impressions of Realtors. Real Estate agents have earned a bad rep and I work hard to reverse that. I understand that the purchase of a home is the largest investment that 99% of people will ever make. It can cause some to earn great wealth and it can force some into foreclosure and bankruptcy. I believe that Real Estate is just that….it’s real. It is property; the only true piece of wealth most of us will ever own. Land is land and will always be worth something. It is not renewable or reversible. I am committed to my client’s long term; I want them to purchase smart, refer their friends/family and come back to me time and again because I continue to help.

I specialize in buying property….researching what it is worth and negotiating to get my clients the ultimate deal. Furthermore, the aforementioned skills help me to evaluate a home from a buyer's perspective, which is invaluable to a serious seller. That being said, I also have experience selling homes. I will price your property appropriately so that your home sells based on your goals. I will give you my honest opinion regarding improvements and repairs so that you capitalize on your investment.

Remember technology is changing the Real Estate industry. Even though customers don't have keys, they have access to Real Estate Listings on the internet. Moreover, eighty percent of buyers begin their home search on the internet without a Real Estate agent (Quick note, remember Texas is a non-disclosure state, meaning zillow.com is guessing values. If you read the fine print they let you know this as they estimate value without visiting any homes). The internet is a great tool but be cautious of the content. The right Austin Realtor will help you understand and decipher data from the internet with MLS statistics including pending and sold information.

Remember, there are over 7,000 Real Estate licensees in Austin, TX and the Realtor you choose can make or break your home buying experience. I understand a Real Estate purchase is the largest investment most of us will ever make. Therefore, as an Austin Realtor, I cherish my fiduciary position with clients before, during and after the transaction. I'm a native Austinite, which helps me help you with insightful Real Estate advice.
